We Just Got A CRAZY HIgh POP SCORE ON TUNECORE!!!

Hi Everyone out there in Present or Future Barnshaker Nation!!!

Well we joined this program called Tunecore. The reason being we are an indie band who has virtually no money! that is the industry, that's the  cold hard truth!
We have been in this music business for a long, long time. I personally have not made a penny in playing music for, I hate to say it, 40 years now.
Well I am here to tell you. Joe Leary & The Barnshaker's is The Real Deal.
We joined this program and it is fine. It gets your music published on a bunch of different sites at the same time. The only thing I will continue to bitch about is, you can't get your money for 2 months! I mean come on we are in the Paypal age aren't we????????
Anyway, I just want to let you know, we are on Jango Radio, heavily! Our song, On The Road this week got a pop score of 87%!! that means that 87 out of 100 people who hear the song have a positive reaction!!
I don't know about you but I am really proud of that. I mean the Beatles probably get 100%!!! I don't know if you get it or not, but On The Road is what they are calling, "an underground, indie hit"!!
I could care what it is, it just goes to show you, that if you follow your dreams, things will come true!! Go take a listen to it and buy it!!! Hell buy the whole Cd, The Barn Sessions, Joe Leary & The Barnshaker's! I don't care, all I care about is that 87 out of 100 who hear my song dig it!! I'm good!
Really Good!

The Cover We Chose Seems To be Working!!

Hey everyone/and hopefully NEW Barnshaker Fans!!
We were really conflicted about putting a cover on our new album. First of all if you do it right you don't get a dime from it, that's why our CD is only $8.61, because we chose the right thing to do and not collect any royalties for the song.
The song we chose was off of one of my all-time favorite albums by Bruce Springsteen! It is called Meeting Across The River. That song ,although not probably one of the biggest songs from that Cd obviously moved me tremendously. Clarence's moody sax intro, to Roy Bittan's beautiful piano passage always gets me.
Well we re-worked that song, so it is probably not recognizable to the average fan, so I think we can call it our own. But the crazy thing is, people are digging our version. We have had a lot of positive feedback from that and that makes me feel good. It is the most stripped down songs on our album. It is simply, my guitar, a squeeze box, masterfully played by Brother Cleve an upright bass and some brush drums also done by my foil Ed Reimer, who is so talented it is beyond belief!
Check out our version on iTunes, Spotify, Amazon mp3 or Google Play!
As a matter of fact check out the whole album, we are getting a lot of positive feedback from Jango radio stations associated with the Zac Brown Band, Jason Aldean, Blake Shelton, Darius Rucker and Keith Urban along with Tom Petty and Elvis Costello!! Go figure..
Anyway, check it out when you have a moment, and we'd greatly appreciate your support by buying the album or at least a few songs!!
Thanks,
