Hi All you future Barnshaker Fans!!
This is just a little update for everyone that has been following us and the power of Tunecore and Jango internet radio!
We have just released our 3rd song on Jango radio from our release The Barn Sessions which is available through all the tunecore platforms. It seems the most popular sites are obviously iTunes, but, Spotify, Google Play, Amazom MP3 and CD Baby have been huge for us also.
The new song is a mid-tempo slide guitar driven rock tune and since going live 3 days ago, we have picked up 35 NEW Fans! I don't know about you, but an indie band that manages ourselves, this has been a huge boost to our visibility. I have had no problems with tunecore, except when we signed up we didn't realize you don't get your money from all songs purchased for 60 days, which I think is a little slow! As far as Jango radio you can customize your songs to different artists stations, so tyou get to target the genre of music that you think fits the tune! This is a great feature and it also gives you analytics about what your fans are also listening to, which is an invaluable tool. For instance, our song, On The Road(which is on the album) we got a ton of fans who also love Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, Bruce Springsteen, John Mellencamp and Rascal Flatts! So you get to target your audience, pretty cool.
The new song is called Puzzles, Worry & Wonder and it is doing great as I have said. We personally reply to every single one of our fans and ask them to spread the word and visit our Facebook Fanpage for Joe Leary & The Barnshaker's. It also gives you the ability to send friend requests through Facebook too, which is another great way to keep in touch and increase your visibility to your fans and hopefully their friends.
Anyway, we are presently setting up gigs for the fall and we have gotten a lot of pretty good gigs by implementing this simple guerilla marketing thing we have been doing. So please check out our album, Joe Leary & The Barnshaker's- The Barn Sessions and please sign up for our email list so we can keep you up to date on where we maybe playing in the fall, plus some other interesting bits of who each one of us are and where we all came from. The more people know about you, it seems the more they feel connected, it is just simple common sense. So keep on listening, and if you haven't already, check out the album it costs less than a MacDonalds meal, and certainly won't give you the heartburn you get with that!! Thanks for reading and please keep following us and reading this blog, we really do appreciate it!
